As part of our expansion plans as a growing, global organization, Costa Rica was chosen to open a Shared Services Center, which started operations in December 2020. While our Costa Rica business office is based in the beautiful and sunny province of Heredia, at a convenient We Work building with wonderful co-working space, most of our global team members in Costa Rica are able to work exclusively from home.
 
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Systems Administrator II will be responsible for the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of all IT Infrastructure solutions. This role will frequently contribute to global projects involving many other IT resources in a collaborative effort. The ideal candidate will be self-driven and goal-oriented, with a strong passion for technology and self-growth. This role will include analysis, design and implementation of Microsoft solutions in a global enterprise environment. A strong background in Windows server OS, VMware 6.7 and above, SAN administration, Azure server administration, clustering/load balancing in both on-prem and cloud solutions, and various scripting languages are all required for this position. This position will be joining a highly functional support team. Candidates should enjoy mentoring, training, and collaborating with other team members to be successful in this role. Will frequently led IT projects, including assigning tasks, communicating with vendors, and taking direction from the Lead and Sr. Director.
 
WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Strong administrative skills with VMware 6.7 and above, and Windows OS 2012 and above, including clustering and load balancing.
  • In-depth knowledge and administration of Azure cloud infrastructure and Security.
  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions for new projects and tasks.
  • Maintain consistent hardware/software patch levels and firmware.
  • Deploy and maintain Windows servers and storage SANs in accordance with best practices in security, sustainability, and other scopes.
  • Proficiency with Managing users/security/email in Active Directory and Azure AD/O365.
  • Administer storage SANs and dedicated storage disks for all company data.
  • Respond to higher-tiered incidentals and after-hours calls and alerts from the server/network notification system as required.
  • Manage and monitor backups and disaster recovery.
  • Create and maintain all relevant documentation for SOPs, processes, and policies.
 
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) is required for this position. Must demonstrate the ability to read, speak, and write in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Infrastructure or equivalent. 
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in similar positions.
  • 5-year experience with PowerShell/VB Script/SQL/Windows Shell scripting
  • 5-year experience with TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, and DHCP options
  • 5-year experience with Microsoft Exchange/Office 365, Azure Administration
  • 5-year experience managing servers/storage/backups/security
  • 5-year experience with Active Directory/Entra ID, Group Policy management
  • 3-year experience with Office 365/Azure, Exchange Administration
  • 3-year experience with VMware, SAN, and virtual storage management
  • 5-year experience with Security such as SIEM, DLP, NIST, and ISO 27001 Security standards
  • Azure/Windows Server administration and security - Advanced
  • Exchange/Office365, Entra ID, Email security administration - Advanced
  • TCP/IP, subnetting, AD/DNS, DHCP - Advanced
  • VMWare/Azure Server and storage management - Advanced
  • PowerShell/Graph AD and O365 scripting - Intermediate
  • Manage iSCSI/Fiber channel storage SANs - Intermediate
  • Create and manage Database and Virtualization clusters - Intermediate
  • Create and manage documentation for processes and procedures - Advanced
  • Manage projects and tasks for various IT Infrastructure needs - Advanced
  • Disaster recovery and daily backup management - Advanced
